If anyone had said at Saturday lunchtime that Cheadle would win all 3 games by 7 'o clock they might have been thought of as a tad optimistic.
the 1st Team went 3rd in the table after a great bowling performance at Ashcombe Park followed up by an Ali Khan special. Ozzy Crump took 3 for 11 as the Cheadle slow bowlers turned the screw and Ashcombe were bowled out for 113 before using up their 45 overs. There was a DLS reduced target for Cheadle of 54 in 15 overs which seemed simple enough before the rain closed in. Ali Khan had other ideas as he smashed 51 not out off 24 balls and finished the game off with 4 consecutive sixes.
The 2nd Team comfortably beat Crewe 1st XI at Tean Road. 20 overs a side here with Jack Bullock (44) and Ads Alcock (36) doing the damage with the bat before Ry Harvey got a tidy 5fer bowling the opposition out for 81. They are now 7 points clear at the top of Division 3.
The 3rds had a cosy win against Crewe with Joe Degg's 69* the standout as they went to the top of Division 8.
