Safeguarding

Introduction to the Safeguarding Officer

Hi, my name is Claire Howells. I am the Safeguarding Officer at Cheadle Cricket Club. My role involves ensuring that all of the coaches have up to date DBS checks and are well trained in Safeguarding. I ensure that policies and procedures are in place to keep our players safe. If you have a Safeguarding concern about anyone at the club, please don’t hesitate to speak to me at training or call me on 07708 968842. Our Safeguarding Policy is available to read on our club website.

Cricket for all

At Cheadle Cricket Club we love cricket and hope to inspire a love of cricket in all visitors and players. We firmly believe that cricket is for everyone and are working hard to ensure that our club is as inclusive and diverse as possible. Sport is an opportunity for people who may have different genders, cultural backgrounds, religions, races and sexuality to find their similarities and share experiences, building a stronger community for the future.

We currently have girls playing at different age groups and levels, as well as our newly formed Women’s Softball Team (any more ladies that would like to join us, no experience necessary- Contact Claire Howells).

Our clubhouse is wheelchair accessible and has a disability toilet. We are currently looking at ways to make our changing rooms more accessible.
